Proposal
In the very beginning of the Internet, one group dominated the web, hackers. Now that the information super highway has grown exponentially, the number of hackers has increased by leaps and bounds. This counterculture movement has been condemned as cyber-terrorism by government authorities. Even Hollywood has portrayed these electronic pirates in several movies. Through interviews and research, I intend to show who these hackers are as a community, how they interact, and how they identify themselves as a social movement. |
