Thomas Schweizer's data on kinship, land transactions and religious groups among elite Muslim families, published in his 1989 edited book NETZWERK- ANALYSE (Berlin: Dietrich Reimer Verlag), and reviewed in a new book with Douglas White, provides the basis for the questions of kinship analysis asked in this study.
